Hope Happens: “How do you know?”

A little while ago when I was teaching a Bible lesson at one of our events,

a little boy asked me a very important question as I was explaining about God and creation. He simply asked: “How do you know all of this?” This question may seem small at first, but it reflected the heart of a child that was searching, and hanging onto every word that was being spoken.

I was able to use that question to explain to the entire group that ALL answers, and ALL authority comes from the Word of God. Apart from that I would know nothing! Isaiah 40:8 says “The grass withers and the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever.” God provides for us all that we need to know through His word, and it is incredible that these children can learn that critical truth at such a young age.

I love that God gives moments such as these that allow us to deflect all glory to Him.

For God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.
