Hope in the Light

God’s been teaching me this week about what it means to be desperate for His will.

Sometimes it can be so easy to let my relationship with the Lord slip into a pattern of just doing enough. I read my Bible enough to have fresh conversations about it. I go to church enough and sing loud enough during worship. I thank God for my blessings enough that I don’t feel guilty. I let other things take over the front of my mind so often, and a passion for God’s will in my life and the lives of those around me can fade as quickly as it is sparked.

But how often do I really believe God is who He says He is? How often do I come to Him, believing He is my all-powerful, in-control, loving Heavenly Father who wants nothing more than to give to those who trust Him? How often…
